Gemlokh is a rodent-like creature that dwells in sandy deserts. She is perfectly adapted to the harsh weather and UV-radiation of the desert, except for her eyes. Her eyes are extremely sensitive to light and radiation, to the point where they bleed from radiation damage. Because of this she likes to cover them with highly decorated scarves. She lives on a fruit-based diet and gets all the water she needs from fruits. When plant-based foods are scarce, she will also eat bugs.

She's friendly and loves to socialize with people, even if she's a bit skittish at times. She can also speak some words and short sentences with a quiet but raspy voice. Her vocabulary is extremely limited though. While she's friendly, she has the not-so-great reputation of being a cryptid. Most people are a bit scared of her. Gemlokh doesn't have a concept of personal property, and often steals from people. She mostly steals fruit. Other stuff she loves to collect are pretty cushions, tapestries, fabrics and carpets.
