Russel is a very caring and patient dog. His main goal in life is to help other people, and to take care of those who need it. He can be a bit snappy on a bad day however. When his patience is tested by a particularly annoying person, his sarcastic hum our will evolve into a more passive aggressive nature, making his remarks more of a personal attack instead of just a joke. Luckily he very rarely gets actually mad at something, maybe even never at all.

While he is highly sociable and cares deeply about the well-being of others, he has a hard time forming any meaningful romantic relationships himself. The hardships in his past make it hard for him to let people get close to him, let alone letting people take care of him for a change. Fortunately, he has plenty of friends to make up for his lack of a love life. Besides, Russel enjoys going home to an empty house after long work days anyway. He cares about his downtime, and takes great pride in being completely independent as a person.
